How tasks work

Find the NPC Oldman and say task. He offers a creature to hunt and a number to kill. Say task again to pick another one, or ask to cancel the one you have.

Kills only count while the task is active, so take the task before you start hunting, not after.

What is on offer

There are 57 tasks, from rats up to the things that hunt you back. The full list - creature, how many, and what it pays - is on the Tasks page, ordered from the weakest creature to the strongest.

Rewards

Tasks pay in experience and gold, and the harder ones give items. Finishing them also counts towards the Top Task Makers ranking.

Worth knowing

Tasks stack nicely with the daily boosted creatures. If the boosted creature happens to be one you have a task for, you are earning the task, the bonus experience and the bonus loot at the same time.
